Refund & Cancellation Policy
This policy explains how billing, cancellation, and refunds work for Finality subscriptions. It is part of, and incorporated into, our Terms of Service. Finality is operated by Tempered Technologies LLC, a Delaware limited liability company.
Plain terms: paid plans are billed monthly in advance and renew automatically. You can cancel anytime; cancellation stops the next renewal and you keep access through the end of the period you’ve already paid for. We do not refund partial or unused months.
1. Billing cycle
Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring monthly cycle through our payment processor, Stripe:
- Standard — $497 per month, flat.
- Exclusive — $1,497 per month, per county (sole-operator territory lock).
- Trial — free. No payment method required and nothing to cancel.
Each subscription renews automatically for a new one-month term at the then-current price until you cancel. The $97 per-case activation fee, where it applies, is charged separately at the time you activate a case; on the Exclusive tier, activations are included at no additional charge.
2. How to cancel
You can cancel a paid subscription at any time by emailing contact@finalityreport.com from the email address on your account, by calling +1 (202) 905-2771, or through any self-service cancellation option provided in your account. We will confirm your cancellation.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. After that, your subscription does not renew and you are not charged again. To avoid the next charge, cancel before your renewal date.
3. What happens when you cancel
- Your access continues through the end of the billing period you have already paid for.
- Your subscription does not renew, and no further charges are made.
- For an Exclusive plan, the county territory lock is released once the paid period ends and may be offered to another operator.
4. Refunds
Subscription fees are non-refundable. Because plans are billed in advance and you keep access for the full period you paid for, we do not provide refunds or credits for:
- partial billing periods or unused time after you cancel;
- periods during which you did not use the Service;
- per-case activation fees once the case file has been released.
We may, at our sole discretion, issue a refund or credit in exceptional cases — for example, a confirmed duplicate charge or a billing error on our part. Nothing in this policy limits any refund right you may have under applicable law.
5. Failed payments
If a recurring charge fails, we may retry it and may suspend your access until payment succeeds. If payment is not resolved within a reasonable time, we may cancel the subscription.
6. Price changes
We may change subscription pricing on a prospective basis. We will give notice before a new price applies to your next renewal, and a price change never affects a billing period you have already paid for. If you do not agree to a new price, you may cancel before it takes effect.
